I know that lately, I’ve been complaining about how fashion designers have no business designing women’s tennis wear. They have no idea how to combine fashion with on-court functionality because they don’t play the game. I mean, why can’t someone get a fashion savvy tennis player involved?!
And then yesterday, as I was busy at work messing around on Twitter, I saw Chris Evert retweet this announcement from Tail Activewear:

Her own signature tennis clothing line?! Could this be true??
I immediately went to the website, and O.M.G….. Hands down, hers is the most gorgeous line of tennis apparel and activewear that I have ever seen!
This genius collaborative effort has perfectly combined classy, feminine fashion with on-court functionality, which is something we tennis ladies have been wanting for a long time.
Tail was extremely diligent in researching fabrics and innovating design and always open to collaborating on every detail, which enabled us to achieve a sporty, fashion forward look as well as athletic performance — Chris Evert
As far as women’s tennis and sportswear design goes, the bar has officially been set at the moon. “Any designer could have done that”, said no one… EVER!
It’s going to be a seriously great day when I walk out onto the court wearing Atomic Blue “Evan” separates (the bottom right photo). That’s going to be my first of MANY “Chrissie by Tail” outfits!
The spring 2015 “Chrissie by Tail” collections will be available in November 2014 at many leading retailers and online at www.chrissiebytail.com. You can also view the entire line in the “Chrissie by Tail” digital lookbook.
